Common sense is not so common. (Voltaire)

Poundbury
In my opinion a blog is to moan about why people are like that and why all the stupid things they do are so obvious to me, from not using their indicators to believing they are the centre of the universe, ignoring the fact that we are all trying to make our way in this insanely crowded world, but, yes there is always a but, some of us doing it a whole lot better than others.**
This goes back to what I quoted from Steve Wright.
‘The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.’
Enough of me and let us get onto some news.
Poundbury
Had to take Robert back to Uni and Susan had to meet someone at Legoland Windsor, so we decided to drive up the day before and stay over at the Legoland Hotel. Robert summed it up one way.
‘Drove for 2 hours to sleep badly in a foreign bed and then drove to Uni.’ He was not too impressed as he did have a uncomfortable bed. I enjoyed the stay and my only regret is that they do not have King size beds. Staffing has changed, not really for the better and I have had better breakfast.
Susan did put it in a nutshell. It is a themed hotel for families with young children and in this criteria it cannot be faulted.
Poundbury
Keeping with the Royals we decided to go and see what all the fuss was about at Poundbury.
‘Poundbury is an urban extension to the Dorset county town of Dorchester, built on the principles of architecture and urban planning as advocated by The Prince of Wales in ‘A Vision of Britain’. This is the official description on the Duchy of Cornwall website.
Actually it reminds me of a deserted film studio with all the props in place but no-one there. We wandered around for a while and did see some people who seemed to be wandering around as well. Plenty of coffee shops and boutique type stores, quite pricy but interesting. Do not really know but will wait until it is finished and maybe then try it again.
