Change

The wise will always learn, the generous will always find they have more to give. That we crossed the threshold into freedom and to progress, embracing all that's new. Time will shift around us and we shape ourselves to fit, imperfect and beautiful, wounded and delicate but invincible, forever moving on. Time is not like the tided, it only moves in one direction. We have change coming our way, not sure when things will be back to normal. Well, our normal anyway. We must find a house and move in the next few months, our landlord wants to sell the house we are in, is one of the reasons, quite compelling. Moving home is quite a challenge, buying a house equals that task. Once we have cut through the rubbish and red tape, negotiated a reasonable price and waited for the solicitor to cross the t’s and dot the i’s, we then have to physically move. 

We did come across this house and ignoring the fact it is ‘subject to contract’ (STC). The description caught my eye.

The property benefits from an integral garage, gas fired central heating, double glazing and good size gardens. Ideal for an elderly couple wanting a new challenge, cemetery within an easy walk.’

Must look long and hard at what we have, most of it is quite old. Will be a good time to go with that expression, out with the old in with the new. The bed is fine, so is the one in the spare room. Nothing else springs to mind, my desk perhaps and the gadgets. Makes me a little wary just thinking about it. Just replacing the lounge suite is a mammoth undertaking for Susan and I. I think we make two lists and each buy what is on our list. 

Change is definitely on the way, new house, new furniture, interesting.
