House Hunting

We have come to the end of the road with our house hunting and have finally settled on a chalet bungalow in Oakdale. If anything Gary will be pleased as the fish and chip shop he likes is just over the road. No pubs nearby could be a good thing, well the noise for one and the temptation to just go for a pint whenever you are bored is another. Also, we would never see Gary, when they come over, it does not take too much to get him wandering off for a pint.

I find myself enjoying a double espresso and watching the locals walking on the cold, windy beach. Susan and Lady Vivienne are hopefully making their way to me from Jazz’s Cafe with Jenson. Could take a while, Lady Vivienne has a dodgy ankle, old war injury. I have just seen Jenson go by, so they are not far behind. I must say the weather has been quite unpredictable lately, well I say lately, it has been going on since Christmas and we have had more rain than normal. It is no good complaining, will not make one bit of difference.

What goes on inside a dogs head? Jenson is reasonably clever for a dog, but I do wonder about him sometimes. Suddenly barking at what? This is a debate for more learned people in the dog world.

Just returned from a walk on the beach with Jenson. The weather is foul again, 55 miles an hour wind. What does that mean, really, does the wind go for 55 miles, for an hour? Cannot really track that, a car yes but the wind. What happens when it goes out of sight and blows straight into a cliff face? Well, again I will trust what the expert says and move on. The one consolation was the rain held off and we were only windblown. Still, it is good to be alive, think of the alternative.
