Fraud

Eventually the things you own, end up owning you.

There are people out there who feel we are going into a period of time when we will not be able to go shopping? Weird, ignorant, morons and now they targeting the innocent Christmas pudding. Someone said they are flying of the elfs, but joking aside, can you be that retarded? When the pandemic initially started, we had empty shelves of loo rolls, baked beans and tuna. Now the humble Christmas Pudding is being targeted.

Derek, he works with us at Cirrus Design Studio, posted to FB, bemoaning the fact that China has not only given us the Coronavirus but is also the world leader in scamming and hacking. I have news for him, there are some in the UK as well. Sadly, we have been targeted by a conman, yes, I know, we should have been the last type of people someone would target but even our skills were no match for this conman. Took us for a good ride. Seems he took quite a few businesses for a load of money. We have reported it to the Fraud squad and we know of one other company that has done the same. Let us see if justice is served. We all know who he is and where he lives. This is one story I will keep you posted on.

Onto another pressing matter. Used coronavirus swab tests were accidentally given out to households in Birmingham, council officials said. The Council said about 25 kits were given out by mistake in the student area of Selly Oak as part of its "drop-and-collect" service. It said the error was quickly realised, the kits remained intact and there was no evidence of cross-contamination. However, a student, who was given a used kit, said some people had opened and used the testing kits. One of the council workers, who were handing out the test kits said they had handed out much more than 25 when they were alerted to the mistake. This just shows, it also happens in the UK, not just Africa. Although Birmingham has a very diverse population. On a more eco-friendly note, maybe those test kits are recyclable.

Apple has launched the new iPhone 12, 5G and looking similar to my old 5S. Apple has bucked the trend and has seen an increase in sales over the last year. What really surprised me is that Samsung is the market leader. Hard to believe but they do have 20.7% of the global market and the Huewei is lapping at the heels of Apple. Now I am not one to pass disparaging comments on people preferences but feel a little dismayed at these figures, anything other than an iPhone is rubbish. I just hope it does not end in tears for all those who do not have an Apple handset. Must admit I have never used an Android device and hopefully the gods will look favourable on me and leave me to enjoy my new iPhone SE. You might wonder what SE stands for, well, that is easily answered, Specialised Equipment.

To end, yes like all good things, this blog has to have an end. The Dickens Children are taking part in a Colour Fun Run in aid of their improvised school. I urge you to give generously.
